Wellbeing in ESPS

Wellbeing in ESPS

Wellbeing is a core area of daily life in ESPS for all pupils and for staff.

It is important for everyone in the school to feel welcomed, included, safe, supported and cared for. It is also important that everyone feels that they have a voice and that their voice matters.

As part of our Wellbeing Program we offer a wide range of initiatives and support facilities to our pupils.

The school are also part of the EANI BeingWellDoingWell program.

The pupils participate in, or have access to the following:

  • School Counsellor Julie Magowan
  • Neuronimo - an online wellbeing support program used each week in all classes
  • Growth Mindset training
  • A nurturing welcome every morning when pupil voices are heard
  • Daily Self-registration according to mood/emotion
  • A nurturing school environment in classrooms, corridors
  • A nurturing approach to teaching and positive behaviour
  • A Buddy mentoring program
  • Being a Rights Respecting School
  • A sensory room and sensory trails in school
