Year 5 classes enjoyed a visit from our local Fire Station, Knock. The firefighters delivered an important message about fire safety, having an escape plan for your home and understanding the main causes of fire in the home. The children found out about the Fire and Rescue Service and asked inquisitive questions about the role.
We also had time to see the fire engine and equipment that is used. Each child had the opportunity to use the water hose to hit a target. I think we have some future fire fighters in the class!
