The children in Year 2 had a fantastic day celebrating the end of our pirate topic. We enjoyed digging in the sand for bones and burried treasure. We played with lots of pirate toys and even built our own pirate ships using a variety of blocks and crates. We also made and decorated pirate hats and joined in with lots of pirate action songs. The children enjoyed going on a scavenger hunt around the school where they worked in pairs to find all of the pirate clues. We even managed to have some time to go on our bikes, trikes and scooters. Finally we cooled off from our busy day by enjoying some lovely ice lollies.
