Y2HT - Our learning in November

We have been very busy this month, particularly in the midst of working hard to prepare for our exciting Nativity performance!

Our topic is Fire! We love dressing up as fire fighters and creating stories.

Building 2D and 3D shapes using cocktail sticks and mini marshmallows.

Painting fire scenes after learning about the Great Fire of London.

Using play dough to make our letters.

Listening for the final sound in words.

Learning our number bonds up to 10, using cubes, and recording the sum.

Role play with the fire station, fire engines and fire fighters.

Retelling the story of what happened during the Great Fire of London.

We learnt that if we mix red and yellow we can make orange!

Number bonds up to 10 - using cubes to help us.

Making buns for the bakery on Pudding Lane (Great Fire of London)

Making a fire engine using the construction set.

Using lots of bright colours and patterns to make fireworks on a black background.

Saying the word and writing the final sound.
