Last Thursday Year 2 enjoyed a trip to Castle Espie Wetland Centre with Generation Wild.
It began with a puppet performance by Ava who told us about our tasks for the day. We then completed an activity trail. We were split into 3 groups and followed a map. We used “translatorphones” to hear messages from the animals. Each group visited 3 listening posts that had a nature connection activity to complete, such as “make a nest for a bird using natural objects” or “Close your eyes and count how many different bird sounds you can hear”. After we had visited all of the listening posts, we had free time to play outside.
We spent the whole day outside and enjoyed getting muddy!
