February learning in nursery 1
February was a short but very busy month! Our topics this month were weather, size and the colour blue. We also celebrated NSPCC Number Day π’ and Valentineβs Day π and had a well deserved half term break!
We really enjoyed exploring our weather topic and discovered that you need rain and sunshine for a rainbow to form! π¦οΈπ The children created lots of beautiful rainbows in many different forms, from paintings, drawing, buildings, play-dough models. We even created colourful rainbows while dancing to music with colourful scarves and leaning the Makaton signs to sing to rainbow songs!π
After the half term holidays we read the story of Goldilocks and the three bears π§π»π»π»π₯£π‘. Though our play the children have loved retelling the story and have created lots of fabulous painting and drawings to represent the story. We have talked lots about different sizes and are able to identify BIG π·and πΉ small during the course of our play.
This month during outdoor play we have been practicing our balancing skills and we have had adventures in the primary school playground and garden! π
We hope you enjoy looking some photos of our learning.
